If you have a qualification that enables you to apply for a nominated occupation that is listed in the Skilled Occupation List for permanent residency pathway in Australia, you are eligible to apply for a General Skilled Migration visa (subclass 491, 190 and 189).
This is a lengthy process that requires a positive outcome from a skill assessment by the relevant assessing authority and a submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Department for the visa application. Upon all criteria being met and achieving the visa point test, you will have to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) from the Department before a valid visa application can be made.

Subclass 189
Skilled Independent (Permanent) visa
This visa is the highest level of permanent skilled migration visa as it is independent and does not require any sponsorship or state nominations. You may be eligible for this visa subclass if you meet the point test.
After the preliminary assessment, we can explain if the Skilled Independent visa is for you. and identify if your qualification and work experience meets any of the nominated occupation listed on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) to meet Australia’s Immigration objectives.
Subclass 190
Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa
This visa subclass is another permanent visa available to skilled workers but requires state nomination. This means that the occupation you plan to apply for this visa type must be nominated or sponsored by the relevant state at the time of your application.
To submit this application, our registered migration team will have to write a submission to an Australian state or Territory government agency to apply for state sponsorship which may access extra points for the Points Test and priority processing of an application and entrance.
Subclass 491
Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa
The Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa is a temporary four year residence visa for skilled workers who do not meet the requirements for a Skilled Independent visa or Skilled Nominated visa. This visa aims to bring the main applicant and his family to work and live in designated regional areas of Australia.
If you have met all the eligibility criteria for you may be able to apply the permanent Skilled Regional visa.
This visa may lead to permanent residency provided that the eligibility criteria for the permanent visa is met.
Subclass 494
Skilled Employer Sponsored (Regional) visa
Skilled Employer Sponsored (Regional) visa enables regional employers to address identified labour shortages within their region by sponsoring skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.
This visa replaced the RSMS visa (subclass 187) and commenced November 16, 2019. It has 10,000 places allocated per year. It requires employer sponsorship from a regional employer, and the position must be likely to exist for five years. It has a 45-year age limit (exemptions apply), competent English, RCB advice and must meet the AMSR. Visa applicants must have a suitable skills assessment and at least three years of skilled employment.
Subclass 482
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa
The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa has replaced the Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457). The TSS visa program assists Australian businesses who experience genuine skill shortages and cannot find Australian workers to fill vacant positions.
You must provide evidence that you meet at least the minimum requirements of English language proficiency and the required scores change according to the visa stream you are applying for.You must also prove you reached the required scores within one attempt of the test and that the test was taken at least three years prior to applying for the visa.
Subclass 186
Employer Nomination Scheme
