The priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) outlines 44 vocations that will support Australia’s economic recovery from COVID-19. The list is based on the National Skills Commission’s professional advice and consultation with Commonwealth departments.

Priority will be given to employer-sponsored nomination and visa applications with an occupation on the PMSOL. However, the PMSOL occupations will take priority and all other skilled occupation lists will remain active.

The list is just temporary and priority occupations may change as Australia recovers from the pandemic. The government will continue to observe the impact of COVID-19 on the Australia labour market and analyse Australia’s skills needs as they change, and new sources of data emerge.
