Starting July 1, 2024, Western Australia will implement a new state-wide Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA).

Combined with the existing State Nominated Migration Program, the WA DAMA will allow up to 10,000 overseas workers to settle in Western Australia each year, helping to address critical workforce shortages in the state.

Employers in WA will continue to access the occupations and concessions available under current DAMAs for relevant regions. Additionally, they will now have access to a broader list of occupations and concessions under the new WA DAMA.
